What is Kakhara ?

Barakhadi or kakhara is a writing system used to teach children the Devanagari script, which is used to write several languages including Hindi, Sanskrit, and Marathi. Barakhadi consists of 12 basic characters, each representing a different consonant sound in the Indian language. By learning these characters and the rules for combining them, children can learn to read and write in Devanagari script.

Barakhadi or kakhara is commonly referred to as the “Barakhadi chart” or the “Barakhadi table” in English.

How do you write Barakhadi ?

Barakhadi, also known as the Devanagari script, is the script used to write Hindi and other Indian languages. To write Barakhadi, one should learn the basic characters and their pronunciation. There are 54 characters in the Devanagari script and they can be combined to form words. It is also important to learn the rules of joining characters together, known as ligatures, to form words correctly. The script is written from left to right and is usually written with a pen or pencil, although it can also be written with a stylus on a tablet or smartphone.

How many Matras are there in Barakhadi?

In the Devanagari script, also known as Barakhadi, there are 11 matras. Matras are the vowel sounds in Hindi and other Indian languages written in the Devanagari script. These vowel sounds can be added to the consonants to produce different words. The 11 matras in Devanagari are: अ (a), आ (aa), इ (i), ई (ee), उ (u), ऊ (uu), ऋ (ri), ॠ (rii), ए (e), ऐ (ai), and ओ (o). These matras can be written above, below, or to the right of a consonant, depending on the pronunciation of the word.
