Ramayana and Mahabharata are the two epics which are associated with Chhath Puja. Main Point of Chhath Puja is not clear. It is believed to be originated from Vedas, Epic Mahabharata and Ramayana. Legend of King named Priyabrat, and his wife Malini blessed with beautiful child and after this start to worshiping Chhath Maiya and celebrating Chhath Puja. According to Ramayana In Ramayana, After Completion of Banwas of 14 Years, Bhagwan Ram & Mata Sita had kept fast together and offered puja to Bhagwan Surya. In the month of Kartik (in between 15th October to December) in Shukla Paksha.
