Holi in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is the birthplace of Holi, and the Holi festival in Uttar Pradesh is celebrated here with great enthusiasm. People gather in large numbers on the streets and smear each other with colored powder and water. The celebrations start a day before the main festival, and people light bonfires in the evening, signifying the victory of good over evil.
